EDEN ROOTED
for a life rooted in nature

The Eden Rooted Fellowship
For women who are succeeding in demanding lives,
but at a cost
'I only have to do a few more years of it'
If that thought has become a private way of surviving work, or any part of your life, the Fellowship has been created for you.
You may be capable, conscientious and outwardly managing well. You may have a meaningful profession, people who rely on you, a life you have worked hard to build. Yet the pressure of work, responsibility or personal difficulty may be leaving you depleted, unable to think clearly, and increasingly disconnected from the things that make your life feel worthwhile.
The Eden Rooted Fellowship is a year of seasonal, nature-centred learning and practice for women who want practical ways to manage stress and depletion, make clearer decisions, and create more room for what matters to them, without having to abandon the life they already have.
The Fellowship at a glance

A year-long programme, beginning at the next seasonal gateway

-
Guided walking, land practice, plants and foraging, seasonal tools, thoughtful learning and real conversation
-
For women with demanding professional and personal lives who want more steadiness, clearer perspective and a nature practice that supports ordinary life
-
Founding year: £1,200, payable in full or instalments.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You may find yourself thinking:
-
I only have to do it for a few more years
-
It's the life I always wanted, so why do I feel so flat?
-
Nothing is dramatically wrong, but I am getting so tired of holding everything together.
-
I don't want another set of tips for coping, I just want to feel more like myself again.
-
I so rarely get a chance to talk about the things that really matter.
You don't need to dismantle the life you've built and I'll bet you don't need another self-improvement programme!
The Fellowship may be right for you if:
-
You are succeeding in a demanding professional or personal life, but paying for it in stress, depletion or a loss of perspective.
-
You have begun to live in 'get through it' mode - looking forward to holidays, quieter seasons or retirement as the point at which you will finally feel like yourself again.
-
You want practical ways to recognise depletion earlier, protect your energy and make clearer decisions.
-
You want to build a relationship with nature that is more than an occasional escape or nice walk. You're looking for a practical, ongoing source of attention, perspective and self-support that strengthens the way you live every day, wherever you live.
-
You don't want to abandon responsibility or make impulsive changes; you want to live more wisely and sustainably within the life you actually have.
-
You miss having time and company for serious learning and conversation about nature, purpose, place and what matters to you.
-
You would value knowledgeable guidance, practical experience and thoughtful reflection over motivational instruction or escape.
What changes through the year?
More of this ...
-
Clearer decisions, more self-assurance
-
A user-friendly, meaningful relationship with nature
-
Practical ways to anticipate and manage stress
Less of this ...
-
Decision fatigue and second-guessing
-
Waiting for the best time to get outdoors
-
Repeated cycles of depletion and recovery
You'll build a practical, seasonal approach that supports clearer thinking, steadier energy and a life you can inhabit more fully.
What's included:
Four seasonal days in Northumberland
5-6 hours outdoors, including guided walking, land practice, reflection and conversation.
Six online gatherings
Practical workshops on clarity, resilience and seasonal practice. Recordings available.
Field notes and journal
Practices and prompts to use between sessions.
A small group
Up to eight women, enabling trust, continuity and meaningful conversation.
A private continuity space
A WhatsApp or email group for prompts, resources and contact between gatherings.
The year in four seasons

Spring
Attention and beginnings
Understanding patterns of energy, stress and depletion; timing; tonics; seed-sowing; and identifying what you want to grow - and how.

Summer
Vitality
and clarity
Nature's timetable, gratitude and reciprocity, aspects of happiness, awareness, clarity, habits, routine and self-reliance. Stretching and growing, soothers and zappers.
What truly sustains you in a full life?

Autumn
Harvest and discernment
What has grown? What is ready to be gathered, shared or released? Where do you make life difficult for yourself? Obstacles, saving seed and the duality of 'yield'.
Autumn helps you separate what is yours to carry from what you can release.

Winter
Rest, roots and direction
Fallow. Rest, healing, integration and creativity. What can remain fallow? What is developing? What kind of cycle is beginning to form?
Winter helps you consider what can rest, what needs protecting, and what is forming.
What you'll take forward with you
A clear understanding of at least three patterns that tip you into depletion.
At least three practical ways to return to balance and clearer thinking.
A map of your own energy, commitments and seasonal rhythms.
A user-friendly nature practice in a place that works for you.
Evidence of at least one significant decision made differently.
Optional progress-tracking using recognised wellbeing and nature-connection measures (ONS4, SWEMWBS and NCI)
A clearer view of which responsibilities are truly yours, which can be shared or changed, and where you have more choice than you may have thought.
Is the Fellowship the right fit for me?
Who it's for
-
The Fellowship is for women in midlife and beyond who carry substantial responsibility: senior professionals, business owners, solopreneurs, academics, educators, carers, creatives and women navigating significant change.
-
All you need is curiosity, a willingness to get outdoors in all weathers, and a little room in your year for something that's just for you.
What it's not
-
It isn't therapy, counselling or clinical treatment.
-
It isn't a productivity or performance programme.
-
It isn't a generic nature connection programme.

Founder bio
Dr Juno Quaintrell is chief acorn-nurturer at Eden Rooted, where she helps people through times of change and stress build simple, personalised nature support systems that fit into busy lives.
Down the years she has organised and guided more than two thousand adults and children of all ages through workshops and courses, working with organisations that include the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Eden Rooted brings together her academic research and a lifetime of foraging, growing and habitat-making, and it's the project closest of all to her heart. When she's not making adventures, you'll find her in a live music venue somewhere.
