Be a wild wisewoman for a day!

This is a day to celebrate the deepening winter and the gifts of 2026 as it draws to a close. In many traditions, when the sun dips below the horizon around the time of the winter solstice it’s a time of acceptance, conserving energy, nurturing and reflection, but also of thanks and of promise of what’s to come, of what the great cycle holds for us every year.

We, too, are taking a day off! We’ll spend it exploring some of traditional arts of the wise woman and her ‘oldest knowledge’ which, as it happens, are the fundamentals of a well-balanced, well-connected life and an everyday relationship with nature. We’ll learn the basics of inner balance, forage, do some basic herbalism, learn tools for working through big life issues with nature, explore how to mark life’s big moments for our own wellbeing, and we’ll celebrate as we deserve.
