Be a wild wise woman for a day!

This is a day to celebrate the full summer season (incidentally it’s Lughnasadh, the first of the old Celtic harvest festivals) - come as yourself!

Summer has relaxed into itself and in our part of the world the fruits of earth’s annual labours are abundant. Whether it’s hot or whether it’s not, the land is abundant right now, and a large part of our native fauna is focused on recovery after all the exertions of spring. The swifts - my absolute favourite bird - are already beginning their long flight south.

We, too, are taking a day off! We’ll spend it exploring some of traditional arts of the wise woman and her ‘oldest knowledge’ which, as it happens, creates a well-balanced, well-connected life and an everyday relationship with nature.
